Steffen Uliczka

Steffen Uliczka ( born July 17, 1984 in Preetz in the district of Plön ) is a German hurdler.

Life

It was 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2011 German Masters. Controversial was his disqualification at the German Championships 3000 meter steeplechase in 2007 in Erfurt. Uliczka is said to have repeatedly led his left foot not properly over the obstacle. As a result, Filmon was Ghirmai German master, who, however, himself sharply criticized the disqualification and it did not show up for the awards ceremony.

This was followed by the XXIV Summer Universiade in Bangkok for which he was nominated by the German University Sports Federation. In a tactically clever finals he finished fourth. In 2009 he won the bronze medal at the Universiade. In Berlin, he dropped out at the world championships in the same year in advance. In 2010 he reached at the European Championships in Helsinki, the final and ran to sixth place.

In 2011, Uliczka part in the world championships in Daegu, but crashed in the flow. In 2012 he finished tenth at the European Championships in Helsinki. A week later he improved his personal best in Liege and qualified for the Olympic Games in London, where he was eliminated in the flow.

He is 1.79 m tall and 63 kg in weight and starts for the SG TSV Kronshagen / Kiel TB. Uliczka in 2004 made ​​his A-levels and then trained as a banker at the Kieler Volksbank started, which he successfully completed in 2007. He is currently studying Agricultural Science at the Christian- Albrechts- University in Kiel.

2007 Uliczka was awarded with the Sports badge of Schleswig- Holstein.
