Stein Metzger

Stein Metzger ( born November 17, 1972 in Honolulu ) is a former American professional beach volleyball player.

Life

Stein Metzger grew up in Hawaii with surfing and beach volleyball at the Outrigger Canoe Club in Honolulu. In his high school, he played with the team of Punahou High School. Stone was a three time U.S. champion during his time at the University of California (UCLA ) and got here the All-American for three consecutive title wins. In addition, he was selected to the NCAA MVP (Most Value Player) in 1996 and was awarded the William G. Morgan Award for the most outstanding player. Stone finished his studies with a degree in ecology.

2001 won stone with his former partner Kevin Wong his first tournaments in the AVP (Santa Barbara and Manhattan Beach ) on two consecutive weekends. The year 2001, however, was more than signpost the 2004 Olympics in Athens, where he wanted to gain important points on the FIVB World Tour with Kevin Wong. 2005 was the most successful year for stone. With his new partner Jacob Gibb, he won the first two tournaments in the AVP (Fort Lauderdale and Tempe ).
