Steinbach am Glan

The local community of Steinbach am Glan is situated in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Glan- Münchweiler.

History

Steinbach am Glan was re-formed on 7 June 1969 the municipalities Frutzweiler and Steinbach.

The local council in Steinbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

General

The Friends of Nature House On hazel computing at the level between Steinbach and Börsborn is a popular hiking destination. There are also starting three Nordic walking trails of various difficulties belonging to the Nature Fitness Park hazel computing, which was built by the district of Kusel. For recreation and leisure area Hodenbachtal introduces Wirtschaftsweg. On the outskirts of Steinbach towards Börsborn is a water stream after Kneipp method.

Economy and infrastructure

Through the village runs the B 423 in the north- east is the A 62 in Glan- Münchweiler is a railway station of Glantalbahn.
