Stella Gonet

Stella Gonet ( born May 8, 1963 in Greenock, Scotland ) is a Scottish actress.

Life

Stella Gonet was born as the daughter of a Pole and a Scot in Greenock, the seventh of 12 children. Her father was stationed as a Polish soldier during the Second World War in Scotland. After her mother joined the Roman Catholic Church, both married and moved to Buenos Aires, where the first two sons were born. Then they moved back to Scotland, where ten more children were born. She joined the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she studied drama and played on stage in 1986. In 1989 she went to London, where they at the Royal National Theatre, among others, Daniel Day Lewis in Hamlet played.

Larger national, and international recognition to win her for her role as Beatrice Eliott in the television series The House of Eliott. This earned her a nomination for the CableACE Award and enabled her to start a film career that includes films like Stalin, Nicholas Nickleby and Persuasion.

She is married to English actor Nicholas Farrell.
