Sten Nadolny

Sten Nadolny [ ste ː n nadɔlni ] ( born July 29, 1942 in Zehdenick, County Templin, Brandenburg Province ) is a German writer. He is the son of writer Burkhard and Isabella Nadolny pair. His greatest achievement is the bestseller The Discovery of Slowness.

Life

Youth and Education

Nadolny grew up in on Chieming am Chiemsee, where his grandfather, the painter Alexander Peltzer, in 1932, had a house built, located at the Isabella Nadolny - way today. The father Burkhard Nadolny was a writer in the field of group 47, whose works, however, were never well received by the audience.
