Stenshuvud National Park

The Stenshuvud National Park is located just south of Kivik in Sweden, the Scanian Baltic coast. Stenshuvud, the " Stone Head", is a Urberg, the nearly 100 m rises above the sea. He has since time immemorial a clue to mariners.

The National Park is characterized by deciduous forest. It outweigh hornbeam. Among the hundreds of plants that grow here because of the mild climate, particularly the numerous orchids are mentioned. The bird life is well represented, among other things, there are many nightingales.

The Stenshuvud National Park is easily accessible by car. The park has a visitor center, Stenshuvud naturum, with exhibition. Disabled trails run through the park and up to the top of Stenshuvud.
