Stephan Groth

Stephan Leonard Groth ( born August 10, 1971 in Odense, Denmark ) is the head of the band Apoptygma Berzerk.

He has worked with Thomas, Andrew and Jonas three brothers who are also musicians. His family moved in 1986 after Sarpsborg, the birthplace of his father in January ( born February 25, 1946). His father is a musician of jazz band Aunt Mary, Mother Lise was a DJ.

In 1989 he founded along with Jon Erik Martinsen the electrical project Apoptygma Berzerk ( APB). Martinsen left in the next year the band again and since 1997, Synth - pop act " sweep ". Stephan Groth went on alone. Furthermore founded Groth several side projects, such as " Germ ", along with former APB guitarist Anders Odden, "H2O" with APB keyboardist Geir Bratland, "TB - Moonchild ", " Total Transformation ", " Acid Queen " and " Fairlight Children ". Of the latter three projects albums have been created.

Stephan Groth has a daughter (* 1996) and lives in Fredrikstad.
