Stephan Lichtsteiner ( born January 16, 1984 in Adligenswil ) is a Swiss football player who is currently under contract at Juventus. It is mostly used as a full-back or in midfield rights.

Career
Association
He started his career at FC Lichtsteiner Adligenswil, as C- Junior, he moved to FC Luzern. In summer 2000, the defender went to Grasshopper Club Zurich, where he saw a better chance for a breakthrough as a professional footballer. This he managed under coach Marcel Koller and in 2002 /03 Swiss champion.
In 2004, Lichtsteiner his apprenticeship as a banker successfully. He switched to the 2005/ 06 season to the French first division club Lille OSC. From the 2008/ 09 season he played for the Italian club Lazio, with whom he Delio Rossi won the Coppa Italia 2008/ 09. With Lazio he became a regular player on the right side defense and so came in three years to 100 league games in Serie A.
Beginning of July 2011 Lichtsteiner for a transfer fee of ten million euro transfers ( payable over three years) to record champions Juventus. He received a contract for four years with the people of Turin. In his first league game, he scored in a 4-1 win against FC Parma his first goal for his new employers. At the same time his first competitive goal was 1-0 the stage in three days earlier inaugurated Juventus.
National
Lichtsteiner was Swiss U-21 national team and made his debut in the senior national team under James Kuhn on 15 November 2006 at 1:2 in a friendly against Brazil. In the 2008 European Football Championship, the European Championships held by the Swiss, he was first appointed at a major tournament in the national squad and was in all three group matches in the starting lineup. His first goal for the national team, he scored in the last match of the European Championship qualifier. His second international goal scored Lichtsteiner in the memorable 5-3 victory against Germany for interim 3:1.
