Stephan Straub

Stephan Straub ( born January 25, 1971 in Saarbrücken ) is a former German football player. He was last longtime goalkeeper for Alemannia Aachen and then briefly at Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Career

Aachen Straub committed to the 2001/02 season as a reserve goalkeeper behind Christian Schmidt. After injury to Schmidt, he represented these first and offered good performance, so he was goalkeeper. Until the 2004/05 season he remained the "number 1" for Alemannia Aachen. During this time he reached with Alemannia Aachen three consecutive sixth place in the Bundesliga 2, the final of the DFB Cup of the season 2003/ 04 and the Round of 32 in the UEFA Cup the following season.
