Stéphane Bernadis

Stéphane Bernadis ( born February 23, 1974 in Boulogne- Billancourt ) is a former French figure skater who started pair skating.

His skating partner was Sarah Abitbol. At her side he was from 1994 to 2003 French champion in pair skating. In 1993 she had her debut at World and European Championships. Their first major international medal they won bronze at the European Championships in 1996. At the European Championships in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001, they won the bronze medal ever. 2002 and 2003 were Bernadis Abitbol and European vice-champion behind the Russians Tatiana and Maxim Marinin Totmjanina. Your only medal at the world championships won by the French in Nice in 2000 at their home World Cup. They were third behind the Russians Maria Petrova and Alexei Tikhonov, as well as the Chinese Xue Shen and Hongbo Zhao. It was the first World Championship medal for France in pair skating since Andrée and Pierre Brunet's title win in 1932. Their single Olympics ended Bernadis and Abitbol in Nagano in 1998 in sixth place. The 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, they had to cancel due to a tear of the Achilles tendon Abitbols.
