Stephanie Morton

Stephanie " Steph " Morton ( born November 28, 1990 in Adelaide ) is an Australian track cyclist, specializing in short-term disciplines.

Sports career

2007 was Stephanie Morton as a junior for the first time on the podium at the Australian track championships when she finished third finished the 500 -meter time trial. As of 2010, she competed in the women's elite and was the first year Australian Vice - Champion in the team sprint, together with Annette Edmondson. In 2011 she was three times vice - champion in the time trial, the Keirin and Team Sprint ( with Anna Meares ).

2012 Morton won her first major international success and won at the oceanic cycling championships competition in the Keirin. In the Summer Paralympics in London in 2012, she won as a pilot of visually impaired Felicity Johnson on the tandem gold medal in the 1000 -meter time trial. 2013, it was two-time Australian champion in the team sprint again ( with Rikki Belder ) and in the sprint in 2014, this time in the team sprint ( with Belder ) and in the Keirin.

Honors

2012 Stephanie Morton was elected to the Cycling Australia Elite Female Para- cyclist of the year. In January 2014, it was honored for its commitment to the Paralympic cycling with the Order of Australia Medal.
