Stephen Ferris

Stephen Ferris ( born August 2, 1985 in Portadown, Northern Ireland ) is an Irish rugby union player who plays on the wing forward positions and number eight. He is active in the region Ulster and the Irish national team.

Ferris began at age 13 with the rugby. He was admitted as a teenager in the Ulster Academy and played in 2005 for the first time in the Magners League. With the U20 national team of Ireland, he took part in the same year at the World Cup this age group. His debut for the Men's National Team he gave in November 2006 against the Pacific Islanders and was part of the squad for the World Cup 2007, but was not used. At the Grand Slam of the Irish in the Six Nations 2009, he was one in all the games on the starting lineup and was therefore considered for the tour of the British and Irish Lions to South Africa. However, he had to leave early due to a knee injury the Lions.
