Stephen Goldblatt

Stephen Goldblatt (* 1945 in South Africa) is a British cinematographer.

Life

Stephen Goldblatt was born in South Africa and grew up in Britain. He worked early in his career as a photographer. First experience as a cameraman he collected in documentary productions. In 1980, he led the camera in his first feature film. The musical film Breaking Glass with Hazel O'Connor reached cult status. Gold leaf was twice nominated for an Oscar. In 1992 he was defeated Barbra Streisand's film with Prince of Tides, Robert Richardson, who led the camera in Oliver Stone's JFK. In 1996 he received the nomination for Batman Forever and defeated John Toll, who received the award for Braveheart.

2007 Stephen Goldblatt was awarded at the Polish Festival for Camera Art CamerImage for his life's work.
