Østerdalen

Østerdalen is a landscape in Norway. It is a valley in Hedmarken, which extends along the river Glomma from Røros to Elverum. To the south of Elverum the valley continues through Glåmdalen. The largest valleys are Rendal, Folldal and Atndal. It is the largest valley in southern Norway.

To Østerdalen next to the side valleys also Kvikne, Engerdal and Trysil be expected, although they do not lead to Østerdal. The valley is heavily wooded with pines. Most often, the reindeer is represented here.
