Stereolab

Stereolab is an independent group from the UK, which was founded in 1990 in London. The band originally consisted of Tim Gane (guitar, keyboards) and Lætitia Sadier (vocals, keyboards, guitar ), who remained as the main driver and the constants on the many changes in the lineup. Other long-term members were Andrew Ramsay (drums) and Mary Hansen (vocals, keyboards, guitar ). Ramsay is since 1993 doing while Hansen was a member from 1992 until her accidental death in 2002. On 2 April 2009 the band announced to want to take indefinitely a "pause". Nevertheless, published in 2010 yet the album Not Music, where even songs from the period are gathered in the band does not even paused.

The band's sound is determined by the contrast between powerful organ chords, usually in Farfisasound and female English or French song. It is regarded as one of the pioneers of post-rock.
