Sterlite Industries

The Sterlite Industries is a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources. It builds copper in Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu ), zinc from in Rampura Agucha (Rajasthan) and bauxite. In Korba ( Chhattisgarh ) is a coal-fired power plant and an aluminum smelter is operated. 2003, the Hindustan Zinc has been adopted. At Sterlite also include the Scorpion Mine near Rosh Pinah in Namibia, the Lisheen mine in Ireland and 74% of the Black Mountain mine in Namaqualand in South Africa.

Promotion

2012, 759,000 tonnes of zinc promoted, Rampura Agucha is the largest zinc mine in the world. Copper production was 326,000 tonnes and lead production at 99,000 t.
