Stern–Gerlach Medal

The Stern-Gerlach Medal is an award which is awarded for outstanding achievements in the field of experimental physics annually since 1993 by the German Physical Society (DPG ).

This award is considered the most important in this subject in Germany. It consists of a handwritten document from parchment and a gold medal with portraits of Otto Stern and Walther Gerlach, after which the Stern-Gerlach experiment is named. The Stern- Gerlach Medal 1993 went out of the Stern-Gerlach Price, whose appreciation was decided by a coin in 1992.
