Steve Blank

Steven Gary Blank ( born 1953 in New York City, Lower East Side ) is an American entrepreneur, lecturer and author.

Blank studied with a scholarship briefly at Michigan State University, he had already left after one semester. He hitchhiked to Miami, was working there at the airport: his task there was to be loaded Racehorses in aircraft. In 1970, he joined the Air Force. 1978 at the beginning of the business boom, he moved to Silicon Valley.

Blank is co-founder of eight companies, including the company Epiphany, Inc. He worked at Zilog and MIPS Computers, Convergent Technologies, Ardent Computer, Pixar, SuperMac Technologies, ESL and Rocket Science Games.

He taught at Stanford at Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, the California Institute of Technology and at Columbia University.
