Steve Case

Steve Case ( born August 21, 1958) is the founder of America Online, the world's most successful proprietary online service. He joined in January 2003, under pressure from the shareholders as a result of financial difficulties and accounting scandals as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) back and acted from now on only as a director and co-chair the " Strategic Committee ".

He founded originally Quantum Link, an online service for the Commodore 64 since 1988, Apple and IBM -compatible computers support. In 1991 the name was changed to America Online. 1994, the number of users to a million.

After a decade of extreme growth AOL merged with Time Warner in early 2000 and traded from now on for a time under the name " AOL Time Warner " before it is back to " Time Warner " renamed.
