Steve Henry

Steve Henry ( born October 8, 1953 at Daviess County, Kentucky) is an American politician. Between 1995 and 2003 he was Deputy Governor of the State of Kentucky.

Career

In 1972, Steve graduated from Henry the Owensboro Senior High School. After a subsequent medical studies at the University of Louisville and his medical license, he started working as an orthopedic surgeon. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career.

1995 Henry was elected to the side of Paul E. Patton for Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky. This post he held for a re-election in 1999 between 1995 and 2003. Yet he was assistant to the governor. In 1998, he ran unsuccessfully in the primaries of his party for the U.S. Senate. Between 1996 and 2001 he was also still Instructor of Medicine at the University of Louisville. Steve Henry's career was not free of conflict with the law.
