Steve Morrow

Steve Morrow ( born July 2, 1970 in Belfast ) is a former Northern Irish football player and coach.

Vereinskarierre

Arsenal undertook in 1988 the then 18 -year-old defender Morrow from the Welsh club Bangor City. Overall, this played 62 times for the London until 1997, scoring one goal.

During his time at Arsenal, he was repeatedly borrowed specifically to FC Reading ( 1991), the Watford FC (1991 ) and at the Barnet FC (1992). In 1997 he moved to Queens Park Rangers. After 91 games and a short loan to Peterborough United Morrow joined the American Major League Soccer with the Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas ).

Due to a neck injury he had to end his football career in 2003.

National

Steve Morrow played from 1990 to 1999 39 times for Northern Ireland national team. His first international game he played in 1990 against Uruguay.

Coaching career

In 2004 he was an assistant coach at FC Dallas, but had to give up that post in May 2004 for personal reasons after 3 months. In January 2005 he was again assistant coach and since December 2006 he was the head coach of the club.

On 20 May 2008 he was released.

Back to Arsenal

After his release at FC Dallas Morrow went in September 2008 back to Arsenal and took over the coordination of the international partnerships of the association.

He is also a live commentator for the web portals of the association.
