Steve Pence

Stephen B. "Steve" Pence ( born December 22, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky) is an American lawyer and politician of the Republican Party, who was among other things, Deputy Governor of the State of Kentucky.

Life

Pence studied post-school first at Eastern Kentucky University and completed this study with a Bachelor of Science degree. A subsequent post-graduate studies in business administration at Eastern Kentucky University he graduated in 1978 with a Master of Business Administration (MBA ) from. Another study of law at the University of Kentucky, he graduated in 1981 with a Juris Doctor ( JD) and was named after the lawyer's subsequent approval in the state of Kentucky in 1981 assistant to the Attorney General of Kentucky.

In 1982, he joined as an officer in the U.S. Army and served there until 1987 Judge Advocate General's Corps ( JAG ). He then remained in the U.S. Army Reserve and was last to Lieutenant Colonel ( JAG ) transported. After his retirement from active military service, he worked as a lawyer and last from 1995 to 2001 Partner of the firm Pedley, Zielke, Gordinier & Pence.

After he was between 2001 and 2003 the U.S. Attorney for the Western District ( Western District ) of Kentucky, 2003 he was Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky. He was so after almost 60 years, the first Lieutenant Governor of the State of the Republican Party after last was Kenneth H. Tuggle 1943-1947 Republican Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky. 2007 followed the Democrat Daniel Mongiardo in office.
