Steve Regier

Steve Regier ( born August 31, 1984 in Spruce Grove, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since 2013 in the Nuremberg Ice Tigers of the DEL under contract.

Career

Steve Regier began his career as a hockey player with the Medicine Hat Tigers, for the Canadian junior Western Hockey League, he was active from 2000 to 2004 and with whom he won the President's Cup in the 2003/04 season. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the fifth round as the 148th overall player of the New York Islanders. In four seasons with the franchise of the Islanders, the attacker completed a total of 18 games in the National Hockey League, while in their farm team, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League, spent the entire rest of the time.

On 15 July 2008 Regier signed a contract as a free agent with the St. Louis Blues, for which he scored three goals in eight games and made a template. Again, he mainly played in the AHL for St. Louis ' farm team, the Peoria Rivermen. Therefore, the Canadians decided to season 2009/10 at an exchange for EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Hockey League. In April 2013, signed a one year contract Regier at the Nuremberg Ice Tigers who play in the highest German league, the DEL.
