Steve Sidwell (2007)

Steven James "Steve" Sidwell ( born December 14, 1982 in Wandsworth ) is an English footballer.

Life and career

Sidwell began his career in the youth team of Arsenal FC in London. In the " Gunners " from 1999-2003 he was under contract and was twice British youth champion (2000 and 2001). During his time at Arsenal, he was also awarded to three different clubs, namely at Brentford FC (2001-2002), KSK Beveren (2002) and Brighton & Hove Albion ( 2002-2003). In January 2003, the midfielder moved to Reading FC and abolished in 2006, the rise in the highest English league. After a year in the Premier League with Reading FC and very good performances, he moved in 2007 free transfer to Chelsea.

After only one year Sidwell left the club back from London. He joined instead, before the start of the 2008/09 season Aston Villa in Birmingham. In the winter transfer window 2010/11 he signed for an undisclosed sum at the London club Fulham FC.

  • Promoted in 2006 to the highest English league with FC Reading
