Steve Sullivan

Steve Sullivan ( born July 6, 1974 in Timmins, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player in the position of right winger who stands since April 2013 in the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Sullivan played during his junior first time from 1991 to 1992 for the Timmins Golden Bears in a unterklassigen Canadian junior league. Following the striker went for the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in the Ontario Hockey League to the ice, with whom he won the 1993 Memorial Cup. Steve Sullivan was selected Devils NHL Entry Draft in 1994 in the ninth round at 233 instead of the New Jersey. First, the striker went for their farm team, the Albany River Rats in the American Hockey League and won on the ice with the team in the season 1994/95 the Calder Cup. In the season 1995/96 he came to his first stakes in the NHL, scoring five goals in 16 games and came up with nine points. During the 1996/97 season he was delivered to Toronto, where he remained for three years. In the 1998/99 season he surpassed his personal record of 16 goals and 38 points, in which he scored 20 goals and 40 points in 63 games. In October 1999, the Maple Leafs him put on the waiver list from which it chose the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks featured at this time no strong team, but he came in the 2000/ 01 season on 65 points. He grew further and managed in the following season 2001/ 02 34 hits and 75 points. In February 2004 he was transferred to the Nashville Predators. In the first season for the Preds he came in 80 games on 24 goals and 73 points. The 2005/06 season was better than before, because he was not only the way to a new personal record but also to a new franchise record with most goals in a season. But because of an injury he had to pause a few games, so he came in 69 games on 31 goals and 69 points. Although presented the 31 hits for a new franchise record, but also Paul Kariya reached this brand, but with 13 games more on the account.

Due to a back injury Steve Sullivan could not be used throughout the season 2007/ 08. His shirt number 26, he chose as his cousin Bob Sullivan also wore this number back at the Hartford Whalers.

July 1, 2011 Sullivan signed a contract for one year with the Pittsburgh Penguins. After the expiry of the contract with the Penguins in the summer of 2012, he was engaged by the Phoenix Coyotes. This transferred him on April 3, 2013 at the New Jersey Devils.

Internationally

With the Canadian selection Sullivan took part in the World Championships in 2000 and 2001. In both tournaments, the striker missed the Team Canada each win a medal, graduating on the fourth or fifth place. In a total of 16 matches get him five goals, three assists in further contributed Sullivan.
