Steve von Bergen

Steve von Bergen ( born June 10, 1983 in Neuchâtel ) is a Swiss football player. The defender has since the end of June 2013 in the BSC Young Boys under contract.

Career

Association

From Bergen was in the youth team of FC Hauterive, before moving to Neuchâtel Xamax 2000. In the summer of 2005 brought him the then- coach of FC Zurich, Lucien Favre, according to Zurich. In his first season at the FCZ graduated from Bergen 36 games, contributing to the first title since 1981. The following season the championship was defended. As Favre moved in summer 2007 to Berlin at Hertha BSC, he took with the central defender. His debut in Germany's top flight was from Bergen on Matchday 2 against Arminia Bielefeld. In the first year, he finished with the Brussels residents on the 10th place in the Bundesliga. Here, the team qualified about fair play rankings for the UEFA Cup. After the descent in the 2009/10 season, he left Berlin and was initially a month without club before he signed a temporary two -year contract with Italian club AC Cesena on August 4.

For the 2012/13 season changed from mountains to the first CFC Genoa, but was transferred in August 2012 U.S. Palermo on. A year later announced by mountains that he has signed a five -year contract with the Young Boys Berne.

National
