Steve Walsh (musician)

Steve Walsh ( * June 15, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, USA) was best known as a singer and keyboardist of the American rock band Kansas, to which he belongs intermittently since about 1972.

But was solo and he is involved in many projects. Among other things, he worked with Magellan's Trent Gardner together ( Glossolalia, Leonardo and Explorer 's Club ) and recorded the album with Daniele Liverani Khymera on. In the 1980s, he also founded the group Streets.

His last two solo works ( Glossolalia and Shadowman ) are characterized by a very independent songwriting that differs significantly from the last Kansas albums and also by Schemer - Dreamer.

In May 2007, together with Joel Kosche of Collective Soul, David Ragsdale of Kansas and Joe Franco, he recorded two new songs that will be sold exclusively through the Internet. By his own testimony he thus ended his career as a songwriter. He will, however, continue to watch live Kansas.
