Steve Zahn

Steve Zahn ( born November 13, 1967 in Marshall, Minnesota ) is an American actor.

Tooth is the son of a Lutheran pastor. He graduated from Cooper High School in New Hope, Minnesota, he studied at Harvard University.

Tooth debuted as an actor in the lead role in the play Biloxi Blues by Neil Simon. Since the year 1989 he played at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, two years later he moved to New York City. Became known tooth since the role in the film Reality Bites - Full Life ( 1994), in which he starred alongside Winona Ryder, Ethan Hawke and Janeane Garofalo. Its role in the crime comedy Happy, Texas (1999) brought him in 1999 a special prize at the Sundance Film Festival and the 2000 Independent Spirit Award and a nomination for the Golden Satellite Award. In the film comedy road with boys (2001) he played the drug-addicted husband of Beverly Donofrio ( Drew Barrymore ). In the Western comedy Bandidas ( 2006), he played opposite Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek the male lead. For his role in the war movie Rescue Dawn ( 2006), he was nominated in 2008 for the Independent Spirit Award and for the Chlotrudis Award.

Tooth is married to actress Robyn Peterman since 1994 and has two children.
