Stian Arnesen

Stian Arnesen ( Nagash Blackheart pseudonyms u a, N. Blackheart, Nagash, Lex Icon ) is a Norwegian singer, bassist and composer. He is mainly known for his work with The Kovenant, but was also a member of other metal bands.

Life and work

He became active in the young Norwegian Black Metal scene about 1993 and took up with Troll and Covenant demos. Troll he led after the other band members had disembarked, first as a solo project. In 1995 he took Trolls debut album Drep de Kristne on and Amund Svensson ( pseudonyms and Others Thanatos, T. Black Heart, Black Heart, Psy Coma ) covenants debut album In Times Before the Light.

Arnesen rose in 1996 as bassist with Dimmu Borgir, with whom he recorded two EPs and two albums. He was said to be debut album aggressor as Rick Hellraiser also session drummer on Nocturnal Breed 1997. He also published with Jamie " Astennu " Stinson Carpe Tenebrum the late 1990s two albums. In 1999 he left Dimmu Borgir again to focus on Covenant can. These had to be renamed and completed now a style shift from black metal after the successful second album Nexus Polaris The Kovenant legal reasons. This year, The Kovenants appeared third album; in the years 2000 and 2001 he published with troll, no longer a solo project, two more albums.

After The Kovenants fourth album in 2003, he announced again and again, a fifth of which has been postponed several times and has not yet been released. Arnesen was 2004 and 2005 Member of Chrome Division, but not participate in any publication. Some years it was quiet around him. It was not until the beginning of 2010 appeared Trolls fourth album, in April Arnesen joined with Psy Coma, Hellhammer, Sverd and Sarah Jezebel Deva on the Norwegian Inferno Metal Festival in Norway to play Covenant Nexus Polaris live. End of October 2011 he played with troll covenants debut album live on the Dutch Aurora Infernalis Festival.
