Stichtse Cricket en Hockey Club

The stitch Czech Cricket en Hockey Club ( SCHC ) is with 2100 members (2006) is the fourth largest hockey club in the Netherlands. ' Stitch Czech ', usually called SCHC, was founded on 22 November 1906 by students and officers under the name of Utrecht Gemengde Hockey Club and merged in 1927 with the Stichtse Cricket Club. The association has long been regarded as elitist art hockey club in the country.

The men play since 2002/2003 back in the Hoofdklasse and reached 2005, 2006 and 2007, the play-offs of the top four teams. However, the team of coach Jacques Brinkman each lost the semi-final series against Oranje Zwart, Amsterdamsche H & BC and HC Bloemendaal. The ladies returned in 2004 from the Overgang class back in the highest Dutch field hockey league.

The club plays in red shirts with blue sleeves, black pants or skirts and blue sockets. Its plant is located at the Kees Boekelaan in Bilthoven and has a water- blasted and three sand-filled artificial grass courts.

The SCHC player Rob Derikx and Roderick Weusthof were appointed to Manchester by the coach Roelant Oltmans in the squad, the Dutch national team for the FIH Hockey European Championship Men 2007.
