Stig Blomqvist

Stig Lennart Blomqvist ( born July 29, 1946 in Örebro, Sweden) is a Swedish rally driver and rallycross champion. He is the father of racing driver Tom Blomqvist.

" Fattening Blomqvist " was in his long career in 1984 on a Audi quattro rally world champion and 1985 runner-up world champion again. In total he participated in 84 World Championship rallies and celebrated while eleven overall victories. Prior to his successful time with Audi he was mainly on Saab cars, Lancia and Talbot go. Together with friend and Saab team mate Per Eklund - - Before he was known from the late 1960s and early 1970s as a rally and rallycross works driver for Saab world, Blomqvist had at the Kvinnersta Folkhögskola at Örebro trained as a driving instructor.
