Stig Strand
Stig beach ( born August 25, 1956 in Tärnaby ) is a former Swedish alpine skier.
Beach comes as his great compatriot Ingemar Stenmark from the small Swedish village Tärnaby and was also active as a slalom rider. In the season 1982/1983 it brought the two Swedish skier finished also, that they were equal on points at the end of the Slalom World Cup. Stenmark won the title only because he had won more races.
In his time at the Ski World Cup, which lasted from 1975 to 1984, beach could win a total of two slalom races and scored four second places. He was also twice each Swedish Champion in slalom and giant slalom. After the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, where he finished ninth in the slalom, he finished his career.
