Stig Sundqvist

Stig Sundqvist (* July 19, 1922; † 3 August 2011) was a Swedish footballer and former national player.

Career

In the 1940s, Sundqvist played for IFK Norrköping in Allsvenskan and was able to celebrate several championship titles with the club. In 1950 he moved with his club colleague Knut Nordahl to AS Roma, where he was active until 1953. After he was staying with the club in 1951 from Serie A, succeeded the immediate resurgence.

Sundqvist denied eleven caps for the Swedish national team. He was at the World Cup 1950 to the Swedish team, the World Cup was third. After his move to Italy, he was not nominated because the association was not aware of soccer professionals.
