Stimigliano
Stimigliano is a municipality with 2290 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Rieti in the Italian region of Lazio.
Geography
Stimigliano is 55 km north of Rome and 47 km southwest of Rieti. It is in the Low Sabina, the hills above the valley of the Tiber. The municipal area extends 26-218 m slm
The municipality is located in the seismic zone 2 (medium endangered).
The neighboring municipalities are Colle Vecchio, FORANO, Ponzano Romano (RM ), Sant'Oreste (RM ), Tarano.
Traffic
Stimigliano is located on the strada Statale 657 Sabina (SS 657 ), which runs from Gala Tina (SS 313) to the Tiber bridge Ponte Felice on the Via Flaminia. The nearest motorway exit is Ponzano - Soratte on the A1 Autostrada del Sole.
The municipality has a station on the regional train line FR1 in the district Stimigliano Scalo 2 km away from the center.
