Stimmwerck

The vocal ensemble Stimmwerck was founded in 2001 in Munich. It consists of the two tenors Gerhard Hölzle and Klaus Wenk, bassist Marcus Schmidl and Franz Vitzthum, acting as counter-tenor.

The name comes from the name for a group of the same instruments as it was for example in the textbook used " Syntagma Musicum " by Michael Praetorius. The first CD contains works by the composer Heinrich Finck Bamberger. The second disc was devoted to compositions Adam of Fulda. Along with the instrumental ensemble La Villa Ella SACD " Susanne un jour " was sung with works by Orlando di Lasso in April 2007 under the title.

Since 2005, the ensemble held annually the so-called " StimmWercktage " on Eagle Mountain near Regensburg to ask there using modern technology the work of a selected composer of the Renaissance in the center.
