Stirrup pants

The stirrup pants is a pair of pants with a heel strap on each foot, called the bridge that keeps the pants taut and prevents slipping of the pant leg when worn. It is usually referred to as a wedge pants.

Originally uniform pants were provided with a web.

In the 1930s, the stirrup pants was (especially as ski pants ) discovered as a sports and leisure trousers, which coincided with the introduction of highly elastic materials. Today the stirrup pants is almost exclusively worn as ladies trousers, last fashionable in the 1980s.
