History

Since 1582 coal was promoted on the spot. 1639 gave the bishop of Bamberg, Franz von Hatzfeld manors stock Home and Haßlach the city Kronach. Sovereign remained until 1803, the Bishopric of Bamberg. 1968 Stockheimer coal mine of St. Catherine was closed.

Incorporations

On January 1, 1975, there came in the context of local government reform in Bavaria, the merger of the then independent municipalities Burggrub, Haig, Haßlach at Kronach, Neukenroth, Reitsch and floor home to a new community called home floor. Wolfersdorf settled on January 1, 1972 in the then municipality Stockheim integrate.

Mallet and hammer refer here to the previously operated in Stockheim coal mining, the colors silver and red to indicate the former close relationship of Haßlach to Bamberg. The bearded men hull comes from the coat of arms of the noble family of Würtzburg that prevailed in Burggrub and Haig. The Wettin Coat of Arms with diamond ring comes from the former coat of arms of Reitsch, which formerly belonged as Neukenroth and Wolfersdorf to the so-called Saxon villages protection.

Mayor since March 26, 2011 Rainer Detsch ( FWG ). He sat down in the mayoral election 13 February 2011 against the incumbent since 1987, Mayor Albert rubles (CSU ) by 52.4 % of the vote.

Floor home is located on the main road 85, which develops as Beer and Castle Road tourist destinations, and the Franconian Forest Railway (ICE - Munich- Berlin). The former local railway line to Burggrub ( and earlier to Sonneberg ) is a bike path today.
