Stockholm City Museum

The Stockholm City Museum (Stockholms stadsmuseum ) documents the history of the Swedish capital from different angles. The City Museum was founded in 1937 and is located near Slussen on the island of Södermalm. It is a listed building.

The Stockholm City Museum operates archaeological and architectural history investigations and expert in issues of urban planning. The museum has in its exhibits various aspects of the development of the city. It also houses an archive of over a million photographs from Stockholm ( Negative), which is open to the public. The museum also houses the Stockholm Medieval Museum.
