Stockholm Network
The Stockholm Network is an international network group of predominantly European, economic liberal -oriented think tanks. The network was founded in 1997 and has its headquarters in London. Europe currently has 131 think tanks from 40 countries participated. Registration as a member is free of charge. The financing of the Institute's work via publication activities, events and funds provided mainly by companies and non -profit organizations.
Objectives
The purpose of the network is to promote a neo-liberal social order and market-oriented approaches in research, policy and society. To this end, the organization is created as the exchange, coordination and public relations platform. When issues are identified, among other things:
- The illustration of the advantages of free market economy and globalization,
- A promotion of market-oriented reforms of the European welfare state model
- The flexibility of labor markets and
- Greater personal responsibility of individuals in the systems of pensions and health care.
