Stocksee

Stocksee is a municipality in the district of Segeberg in Schleswig-Holstein.

Geography

The town lies on the same Stocksee.

Daily from the northernmost stop of the Hamburg Transport Association operate two buses to Bad Segeberg (car power) and several buses of the transport services in the district of Plön Plön.

History

The village was first mentioned in 1347, when the knight Nicholas Splyth his property mortgaged with the village Stocksee to the monastery Reinfeld. The lake was in 1075 in a description of the Limes Saxoniae by Adam of Bremen documentary mention.

Attractions

Known are the mainly the lake, the Stockseehof and the annual music festival at the Schleswig - Holstein Music Festival. Lakeside is a campsite. Boating on the lake is not allowed on boats and water sports equipment. To Fishing Fishing licenses are available.

A ( unguarded ) swimming area with playground and changing rooms is located in the village in the lake road.

Since October 2010 are available in the old school of the village, the former home of the late 2009 Honorary Mayor Dietrich Wiebe, village common areas for use by local clubs and groups.

Holiday Activities

In the summer there is the opportunity to participate in a camp on the lake opposite the village Stocksee for up to 170 children and adolescents from Neumünster, Husum and Itzehoe.
