Stokes flow

(Also called " Stokes flow " ) Creeping flows are characterized in that in them the frictional forces are much larger than the inertial forces. Means, there are small Reynolds numbers. Examples are high-viscosity fluids in a plain bearing or in extruders.

For creeping flow, the Navier -Stokes equations can be simplified.
