Stolzalpe is a municipality with 443 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district or district Murau in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the communities Laßnitz Murau, Malmesbury and Triebendorf, the new community will continue to use the name " Murau ".
Geography
Pride Alpe is located in the district of Murau in the Austrian province of Styria. The place is regarded as one of the sunniest spots in Styria.
The local church consists solely of the cadastral Stolzalpe.

History
Around 1080 was the first documentary mention of the Alpe pride. The abolition of the manorial system was carried out in 1848., The local church as an autonomous body was established in 1850. 1920 and 1924 two " solar homes" of the tuberculosis sanatorium Stolzalpe were established. After the connection of Austria in 1938, the community came to Reichsgau Styria, 1945-1955, she was part of the British zone of occupation in Austria.

Mayor is Wolfgang Hager ( SPÖ). The council is made up after the elections of 2010 were as follows: 5 SPÖ, ÖVP 3, 1 FPÖ
Culture and sights
Economy and infrastructure
Play an important economic role in addition to tourism, the General and Orthopaedic Hospital Stolzalpe country and the health and nursing school pride Alpe. In the LKH House 2 Stolzalpe of the clinic Jews Village Straßengel GmbH operates a rehabilitation center for orthopedic and neuro-orthopedics with emphasis in the treatment of orthopedic diseases and operations.
