Stomio, Larissa

Stomio (Greek Στόμιο (n. sg. ) ) Is a Greek village in the municipality of Aghia in Thessaly.

Stomio is a small harbor at the mouth of the river Pinios. Stomio has about 600 inhabitants and is the former seat of the municipality of the prefecture of Larissa Evrymenes. The village is situated between the vast river delta, a mile- long sandy beach and the eastern flank of the Ossa. The delta of the River Pinios provides habitat for many rare species of animals, so that a large part of which has been declared a nature reserve.
