Stomp (theatrical show)
Stomp is a percussion band. It was founded by Steve McNicholas and Luke Cresswell. For the first time this occurred in 1991 in Brighton, UK. Today Stomp is very successful and occurs throughout the world. In addition, the group is sometimes made of more than ten people. The performance is borrowed from the scenic environment of a cleaning crew. Sounds are generated using different (household ) items, such as with drums (including trash cans ), rods and basically anything that might be in the garbage or what is suitable for the generation of rhythmic noise. The shows themselves are very dynamic and noise are also generated by the interaction of several artists with each other, for example in the fight scenes. Stomp was the founder of a new performance genre.
