Stony Rapids, Saskatchewan

Stony Rapids is a small village in northern Saskatchewan on the southern shore of the Fond du Lac River. The village has 360 inhabitants. In winter you can reach Stony Rapids snowmobile, plane, or on winter roads connecting the village with Uranium City and Fond-du -Lac. Stony Rapids has a school, two restaurants and hotels, a hospital, a post office and two construction companies ( Torson Contracting and Sandstone Development ). There are also many fishing huts nearby. In the region there are, among others, glass eyes, perch, Arctic grayling and trout.
