Stoplogs

Dam beams are horizontally superposed beams or slabs of wood, metal ( aluminum) or other material that variable and close a lock, passage or an overflow at times. They are used in hydraulic engineering, among others relating to dams to regulate the flow and flood protection as a mobile flood embankments. They are also used for the closure of dyke, and as an emergency closure of locks, sluices, weirs, to drain damaged main closures to repair this can.

They are used mostly only temporary and therefore need not be one hundred percent proof.

Laterally, the dam beams are made and kept in vertical rails. Since you can change the number of bars easily, you can change the height of the accumulated water with stop logs as needed.
