Stora Lulevatten

Stora Lulevatten ( " Big Lule Lake " ) is a lake in the province of Norrbotten County in northern Sweden, which is drained by the river Stora Luleälven. It has a maximum width of 6 and a length of about 40 kilometers.

In the waters is the largest of a series of 15 dams along the river, which were built to generate electricity.

On the north shore of the lake a spur road leads up to the area of the Stora Sjöfallets National Park. On the south shore there are several smaller settlements, which are but transport network is largely undeveloped and basically accessible only by boat.
