Stora Mellösa

Stora Mellösa a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish province of Örebro County and the historic province of Orebro.

The town lies on länsväg 207 about 15 kilometers west of the capital of the municipality of Örebro. Near the town is Sweden's fourth largest lake, the Hjalmaren. Also known is the stone setting Torshammarsbacken.

Stora Mellösa was from 1863 to 1970 the seat of a municipality of its own, the Stora Mellösa landskommun.
