Storage organ

A storage organ rsp. Reserve organ in animals ( animals and plants ) is a component which serves to place certain substances to store a long time, to use them as needed, or to protect themselves from environmental influences.

At humans and animals, for example, the liver is a storage organ. The skin also stores liquid and minerals that protect them from drying out.
