Strait of Sicily Tunnel

The tunnel under the Strait of Sicily is a proposed mega project to link Sicily and Tunisia under the Strait of Sicily. The distance between the coasts is about 145 miles and would be achieved through five tunnels between four constructed artificial islands that would be built with the excavated material.
